Accessibility Statement

We want every visitor to be able to browse, choose and order a piece comfortably — whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

Equal access for everyone

Amir Rom – Art in Clay is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

The site was adapted to Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, and was built following WCAG 2.1 at level AA.

What we did

Accessibility on this site

The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, including the menus, the collection filters, the product gallery and the cart. The element in focus is clearly marked.
A “Skip to content” link, a clear heading structure and page landmarks help screen reader users find their way.
Images have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
Text and buttons meet colour contrast requirements, and the site works when text is enlarged up to 200% and on phones and tablets.
Product films are silent and can be paused. They do not play at all when your device is set to reduce motion. Nothing on the site flashes.
Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and errors are announced.
The language of each page is declared, so assistive technologies read it correctly.

Testing

How we check

We test the site with automated accessibility tools and by navigating it with the keyboard, in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile. We review the site again whenever we add new pages or features.

Known limitations

Where we are still working

Some older stories in our Journal may contain images with limited descriptions. We are updating them.
Some services are provided by third parties, such as payment pages and WhatsApp chat. Their accessibility is the responsibility of those providers.
The Hebrew version of the site is being updated and will meet the same standard.
