Our story

Ancient symbols, shaped by a modern hand

Studio Art in Clay was founded in 2008 in Israel by Amir Rom, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. Every piece is an original design, made by hand from the first line in the clay to the last touch of gold.

The studio

Modern design, Jewish tradition

In the studio, Amir creates ceramic plaques to hang on the wall or stand on a shelf, bringing together modern design and Jewish tradition.

Each design is original, inspired by ancient archaeological finds and given a modern touch: the Tree of Life, the pomegranate, the Seven Species, the hamsa and the blessings that have carried meaning through generations.

“I hope you enjoy viewing my designs as much as I do creating them.”
